Building Surveyor
Neil Lofting is a Chartered Building Surveyor and advised on all matters associated with commercial property. On a day to day basis Neil undertakes building surveys, dilapidations instructions, condition surveys, party wall surveys and defects diagnosis works.
Working from the Mayfair offices of Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP - Commercial Property Consultants, and living in Kent, Neil is ideally placed to serve clients needs throughout London and the South East. With a second office in Bristol, the team offers a national service for regular clients and / or larger instructions.
Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP also advise on property investments, property management, retail agency, rating and lease renewals / reviews.
Current clients of the practice include: Marks and Spencers, Primark, ATS Euromaster, McDonalds, Bristol City Council and numerous large commercial landlords and investors.
Acting for investors Neil can undertake building surveys and due diligence work prior to a commit to purchase, this can, and often does, include the appointment of specialist mechanical and electrical engineers to inspect and report on services.
For landlords Neil regularly prepares schedules of dilapidations, along with planned maintenance inspections, defects diagnosis and ongoing building repair and refurbishment matters.
For tenants, we can oversee and project manage fit outs, appointing architects and serves engineers as required for the project. We can also advise on dilapidations liabilities and defend terminal dilapidations claims.
