Paul specialises in residential and commercial property development matters ~ He has in-depth experience of regeneration schemes and projects for developers, local authorities and housing associations ~ He acts for a number of registered social landlords and national housebuilders in the acquisition of residential and mixed use development sites, including related planning agreements ~ He deals with the disposal of affordable housing, options, joint venture, overage and collaboration agreements ~ He drafts and negotiates residential and commercial contracts for the sale, acquisition and letting of commercial property ~ Paul advises companies on property finance, secured lending, landlord and tenant, property investment and commercial leases ~ He provides corporate property support on the sale and purchase of businesses ~ Paul's work experience includes planning, construction, environmental and licensing issues ~ He has also acted in connection with judicial review proceedings and has dealt with many notable judicial review cases (including, for example, in Regina v Hackney London Borough Council, Ex parte Structadene Limited (2000) For the purposes of sections 123 and 128 of the Local Government Act 1972 a disposal of land occurred when a conveyance of land had taken place and not on entry into a contract).

Career
After qualifying as a Solicitor in 1987 at West End solicitors Howard Kennedy, Paul gained experience in Central London law firms as an Assistant Solicitor and Partner and as a senior in-house solicitor in the public sector.
